United 139 DEN to Narita diverted to Seattle?
Not sure what's going on here but it looks like UAL flight 139 has turned around and diverted to Seattle. (flightaware.com) Altro...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
Gotta do what you gotta do. Dumping fuel was probably part of the protocol. It's all about safety.

They may have picked up more passengers but their reason for diverting was an oil filter problem. this can happen to any a/c. Just because this is a 787 makes it news worthy... NOT! S^&* Happens.

Oil filter indication prompted the crew to divert for a safe landing...the systems worked. Now United, Boeing and GE will figure out what caused the issue and address it.

Working Maintenance Control, we have frequent diversions... Never had one to make the news.
