2Installa PiAware sulla tua scheda SD

This tutorial is written for MacOS, but the steps are similar for Windows.
These steps are for building your own PiAware device or for flashing a FlightFeeder Basic or FlightFeeder Pro purchased from FlightAware's store. They are NOT the right files or steps to follow if a FlightFeeder has been provided to you at no cost by FlightAware. Please contact Customer Service for assistance at support@FlightAware.com if you need assistance with a FlightFeeder that was provided to you by FlightAware.

Opzione 1: via Bluetooth

Al momento, i browser supportati sono: Google Chrome e Opera su MacOS (alcuni MacBook non sono supportati, Google Chrome su Android.

Opzione 2: configurazione manuale

Se si usa a bordo il Wi-Fi o un adattatore USB per connettersi a internet, sarà necessario modificare il fil di configurazione. Etcher espellerà automaticamente la Micro scheda SD dopo la formattazione, quindi rimuovi la Micro scheda SD o l'adattatore USB e reinseriscilo nel computer per modificare il file di configurazione.

Formato file di configurazione

Il file di configurazione è un semplice file in formato plain text. Il programma TextEdit su un MAC OS è noto per salvare in formato rich text e con virgolette tipografiche, quindi assicurati che queste opzioni siano disattivate nelle preferenze del programma.

Le righe che iniziano con "#" sono righe di commento e sono ignorate. Le righe vuote sono anch'esse ignorate. Tutte le altre righe specificano le impostazioni di configurazione.

4Avvia il tuo dispositivo PiAware

5Claim your PiAware client

Dovrai aspettare circa quattro o cinque minuti per avviare il tuo PiAware e quindi potrai associare il tuo account FlightAware al dispositivo PiAware per ricevere tutti i vantaggi.

Quando il tuo dispositivo sarà in funzione:

Option 1

Find and claim the FlightFeeder device through Bluetooth using the FlightAware iOS App or using the FlightAware Configure Page

(Keep in mind, the Bluetooth method will only work for devices with PiAware image flashed on to the SD card, not manually installed.)

Option 2

Manually claim your FlightFeeder device online through your FlightFeeder's IP address.

If using an LCD Screen or if able plug in the Raspberry Pi device into a monitor through an HDMI Cable, the FlightFeeder IP address can be found through the PiAware UI display.

While on your computer, look up the local IP address assigned to your PiAware device through your router/firewall and search for the assigned IP address in a browser on the same network. If the device hasn't been claimed a link to claim the PiAware device will display.

Option 3

If you have command line access you can get the FlightFeeder's unique ID using the command: With the unique ID for the feeder you can enter it into the end of the URL below in place of the x's:

Se dopo 5 minuti il tuo dispositivo non viene visualizzato per come chiesto, prova a riavviare il dispositivo; se continua a non funzionare, riconferma che le impostazioni del Wi-Fi (se stai usando il Wi-Fi) sono corrette. 7Riuscito!

Ricorda che i segnali degli aeromobili non sono progettati per attraversare gli oggetti, quindi l'antenna dovrebbe essere posta "linea di vista" verso il cielo senza ostacoli. Le migliori installazioni, esterne e sul tetto, hanno un raggio di azione di oltre 250mi / 400km.
