Amsterdam Schiphol’s Genius Idea To Reduce Aircraft Emissions
Amsterdam Schiphol is trying out a new way for aircraft to taxi to the runway. Over the next few months, the airport will use a hybrid vehicle with fewer emissions in place of a traditional pushback tug. the idea does not have to new to be the smart thing to do. So logical, so smart, so timely: Going to need quite a few tugs- Kennedy , O Hare, LaGuardia could require over a hundred each and the savings in taxi fuel and air quality are obvious. This should be done forthwith.
Think someone came up with this idea some time back nothing new really.
