This is just abitgercreadin example of Europe creating a tougher competitive environment for European carriers.

Carriers based in Europe must pay the additional carbon tax on intra-Europe flights aggregate the traffic for ling haul flights from their hubs. Airlines based elsewhere will fly directly into European cities from their overseas hubs, without paying the additional tax.

It's almost as if Europe is trying hard to destroy their airline industry. Yet they subsidize their local airliner manufacturer.

At this rate, they'll have a greater proportion of foreign airlines servicing their markets. And they'll be selling these foreign carriers subsidized airliners that will increasingly be made by robots.

Can anyone explain their madness?
