intelligent force multiplier, for these will lessen the need for jets refueling other jets.
Might mean more if both aircraft were unmanned.
Perhaps one consideration, for autonomous tankers, would be the option to utilize them in a tanking/combat Hail-Mary situation where the tanker is sent beyond RTB range, to save an aircrew.
