If I'm not mistaken, Lauda was partnered in Fly Niki with Air Berlin..then Air Berlin went belly up, IAD was in talks to buy Niki but Lauda trumped their bid. Niki was actually profitable for Air Berlin and the reason IAG wanted it.
Nikki will go down in history of car racing as one of the best drivers along with Fangio, Nuvolari, Schumaker, etc. however his dexterity at running airlines is in question. You can fail once but three in a row?
