Qantas makes emergency landing at New Zealand military base

It must have been a major mechanical problem that caused a Qantas flight to land just 150 km from Wellington Airport at a military base. The passengers had to sit on the hot plane for hours, waiting for Customs Officials to drive from Wellington. With no food service available at the military airport, folks were hungry.
