Airbus A380-800 (VH-OQK) - This A380 is named John Robertson Duigan. He is a pioneer aviator who built and flew the first Australian made aircraft on 16 July 1910. This A380 is making an early morning landing on runway 24R, Los Angeles International Airport. Downtown Los Angeles, seen as dark shadows behind the aircraft is about 15 miles away. The nose wheels are just touching down, wing spoilers are deployed and the thrust reversers on the inboard engines are open.
