Nice close up of the B727 - my favorite airplane

Thanks Darryl. From responses on FA for 727s, you're not alone in your sentiment.

No safety vest!

Another great shot of the B727, thanks for posting Gavin.
Hi Gavin, I loved the 727-100 & 200s and would be amazed as a very young guy watching them climb out at such high pitch attitudes.
Also, loved the wing and motors being so far back for excellent passenger visibility and lower cabin noise.
However, 727 pilots I've known have been somewhat critical of the cockpit organization and flight stability characteristics.

Yup. Those are definitely 80s shorts. haha

Great pic from past! Thank you!

Another "sexy" 727 and both in 1 day :)

David - ah the 80s! Very few OH&S rules back then and pilots kept a watch for their ground crew. Remember the days when ground crew used batons to guide pilots to their positions.

Robert, Kam and DaveRK - thank you guys, and Robert, yes the 727s and the DC-9s had amazing take-off AOAs.
Great stuff Gavin!

Seems the fit of shorts changed as people got fatter. No?
