Boeing 757-200 (N405UP)
Because runway 16R-34L had been closed down for maintenance at 6 AM (the "X" positioned at the 16R end is visible in the darkness on the left edge of this photo), UPS's N405UP, a B752, had to use runway 16L-34R for its dawn-hour landing at 6:15 AM to complete a short flight from Sacramento Mather (KMHR).
** RNO's 9000 foot long 16L-34R is shorter than parallel runway 16R-34L by 2000 feet.
Comments
The flight from KMHR to Reno (and vice-versa) takes between 20-26 minutes, which means that the UPS cargo birds that fly the route daily have just leveled off after departing when they begin their initial descent to land. Now that IS a "short flight." lol
