Ah the B757, probably my favorite airliner. When I was a Center controller, one day we had a strong jet stream, 150 kts at least on the nose of most of the arrivals. This Continental (at the time) 757 was a FL260, out of the wind and just smoking all the other inbounds. I asked his airspeed. "320". I said, "Can you give me more, I can get you in ahead of everyone else?" He said "Yeah, we can give you 340". I said, "No way, are you kidding?" He said, "Watch..." Holy mackerel!! He wasn't kidding...
