Other than the teeny cars in the background, there's not a visual cue that this wasn't taken in the 1930s or 40s. Brilliant shot!

iirc this is the lighthouse that the Army Corp of Engineers had to move 'inland' a wee bit, as the shore line was moving closer.

Very early in my training to become a private pilot, I took a trip to the outer banks and decided get some local flight training in a C150 while I was there. My lesson that day? Turns around a point - around this very lighthouse in particular!
