Before I begin, the previous 5 star review was posted by the manager, not a customer!
I chose this FBO because they claimed to be the most affordable option on the field. Since I was only making a very brief stop, I asked about that right away and was told they were indeed the lowest-cost provider in Provo.
That claim quickly fell apart.
Within minutes, I was handed a bill for more than $500 for a small single piston aircraft, even though I did not buy fuel. I honestly believed it had to be a billing error. Instead, I was told the charge was correct and that there was no way around it.
I then said I would rather leave than pay such an outrageous fee. At that point, I was told my aircraft would not be released unless I paid the bill. That is beyond bad customer service. It felt coercive, abusive, and completely unethical.
I considered involving the police, but I could not afford the delay, so I paid simply to get my airplane back and move on.
This was one of the most disturbing FBO experiences I have ever had. I received virtually nothing of value, was charged an absurd amount, and was given no real choice but to pay. I would strongly advise other GA pilots to avoid this place. Mooney M-20 |
