Wow. A few days ago I was looking at VCV on Google Earth and saw a huge number of Southwest planes. From the image I saw, a couple were being scraped too.
I just looked at ATL, and there were only three RJ's there. Is there any way to tell how old a Google Earth picture is? I saw no planes parked on runways, but it has to be recent because with only three planes, its deserted...
Google Earth isn’t updated very often, especially in more rural areas like VCV. What you probably saw were 737-300s that Southwest retired a few years ago. Large cities might be updated more frequently so keep looking around and maybe you’ll find a recently updated airport.

But, still, seeing ATL with only 3 planes was shocking. And they looked to be RJs. When has ATL ever been that empty. Like ever...
