I flew on one of these on a two hour flight through the Misty Fiords Nation Monument here in Ketchikan. Mind blowing experience.

With no interconnecting roads and limited ferry schedules, SE Alaska relies heavily on float planes. Typical weather is rain, wind, low clouds and fog. Truly challenging flying conditions.

That would be a pier Mark....The whole property is built over the pier - which isn't unusual.

This photo is amazing in what it does to my emotions.
So peaceful... so tranquil...
I want to be there, having just landed, ready to kick back and relax
knowing my airplane is down below bobbing in the water
as if motioning me to come back quickly, ready to take off to my next destiny.
There is something about it that makes me tear up
knowing just how much I truly love the art of flying.

This is The way I always appréciâte Aviation, peacefull ,out of stupid rules .
