— — - Taken by my Great Uncle during World War Two. This was taken from a gunners position on top of the aircraft. This photo was taken after a flack attack from German ground troops. I have come to find out that there are not many photos left of this squadron and that not many were taken. My Great Grandpa was a Tail gunner on a B-17. he got shot down over Bordeaux, France and lived in a barn until he was rescued. he was par of the 534th bombardment squadron.
