Boeing 737-800 (N568AS) - Alaskas "Employee powered" special paint scheme seen here rolling out on runway 2L. br /br /The "Santa Ana" winds were blowing the day that I took this photo which means that the winds were out of the northeast as opposed to the normal westerly winds. The ironic thing about naming them the Santa Ana winds is that the city of Santa Ana is usually one of the least affected cities when the winds blow this direction. Where I live (about 30 mins. east of SNA) can have winds up to 40 MPH during the Santa Ana winds, and then when I drive out to SNA on the same day, the winds are mostly calm.
