Airbus A320 (N561JB)

Snow had just stopped falling but the sky over the Truckee Meadows was still cloudy when this flight arrived at 10:46 AM. The mountaintops were completely obscured but as is obvious in this snap, the lower elevations were visible.

Darryl and Cliff .. appreciate the kudos, guys. Gotta admit that I've enjoyed the inclement weather we've been having here over the past four weeks. Even tho the thick clouds, fog, snow, and rain have created gray, bland, or bleak backgrounds to the pics (and in some instances have also obscured the aircraft itself), it is sort of cool to be able to get clicks that show a/c in conditions other than perfect. I'm happy to be able to put some "bad weather" snaps into my folder. Truth be told, this one came out better than I had anticipated because the snow stopped falling just before it landed.

Chuck ... (Sorry it took me so long to reply here) There are (at current count) 24 different spotting locations at RNO. This shot was taken from one of the easiest to access ... right from a parking lot. It is the fact that a bit of the bottom edge of the snap has been cropped off combined with the Sierra Nevada in the background that makes it seem as tho it was clicked from some unusual vantage point. JBU's Bus is right in front of my position while the mountains are off in the distance. Thanx for your compliment about the shot, Chuck.
