Boeing 737 MAX 8 (N77259) - A United B38M (N77259) taxies north on Bravo to the terminal after arriving from a rare (for Reno) origin city -- Newark, NJ (KEWR).br /United had this aircraft fly here from Newark to transport attendees at the Burning Man 2025 Festival back to NYC. This flight arrived here in the noon hour and remained for the rest of the day, finally departing a few minutes before midnight for the trip back to Newark.

United had this aircraft fly here from Newark to transport attendees at the Burning Man 2025 Festival back to NYC. This flight arrived here in the noon hour and remained for the rest of the day, finally departing a few minutes before midnight for the trip back to Newark.

I was somewhat surprised that UA flew this Max 8 here from Newark since it would have been a far shorter trip if an aircraft had come here from SFO. Granted, the outbound trip was RNO to EWR so perhaps it made sense to bring this one cross country and then wait 11+ hours to make the cross country return flight, but I found it to be a bit strange to do it that way. But hey, I'm just a nobody so what do I know about equipment assignments and flight scheduling? lolol
