Boeing 737 MAX 8 (N8702L)

A Southwest flight is barely visible as it has just passed over the numbers of RNO's 35R and is about to touch down to complete a trip from San Jose (KSJC).
This SW was the second-to-last commercial pax bird to land at RNO before the rapidly increasing-in-intensity blizzard degraded the visibility to below minimums and forced seven other commercial flights -- flights that were either circling over RNO or were not too far from arriving at Reno -- to divert. Shortly after one more Southwest flight landed just behind this one, a GA jet was able to land on 35R at 1031 hours and that GA bird was the last arrival at RNO until 1920 hours ... almost nine hours later.
With RNO's only ILS - and longest - runway closed for construction (35L-17R, 11001 feet) and the below minimums visibility making it impossible to see the 9000 foot long 35R-17L, seven flights that were either at or almost to Reno had to divert.
AA 2722 from KDFW diverted to KFAT (Fresno Yosemite). SkyWest 3501, inbound from KLAX, also went to KFAT. SWA 2340, just arriving from San Diego (KSAN), turned around and flew all the way back to KSAN which meant its passengers flew for 2 hours and 41 minutes only to end up where they had started. AA 1777, approaching Reno from Phoenix (KPHX), reversed course and diverted to KLAS. UA 375, coming to Reno from KDEN, turned around at the Utah/Nevada border at West Wendover and went back to Denver. Frontier's 2175 made a 180 and went back to Las Vegas where it had come from. And AA 2538 from KDFW decided to go to Phoenix. And since there weren't any aircraft arriving for me to photograph, and also because I couldn't have seen squat even if there had been any aircraft, I went home. lol
