Another beauty Gary. In most light you can't make out the snow on the mountains on the tail of this bird and it looks weird sometimes because it looks 'unfinished'. This one is perfect!

Howdy, Mark. Yes, I've viewed several pics in which the white snow-capped mountains blend in to the silver. My previous post of this a/c is exactly that way; the white tops are virtually invisible in that shot. As you mentioned, it is the way the light hits it. The best part of this shot is that not only do the white mountaintops on the tail show up, but that one of the three mountains overlooking Reno that inspired the design is actually in the background. If AAL cooperates and sends this one around again next winter when the mountains are covered in snow, I'm going to attempt another click like this from the same angle.

Hi, Uwe. Thanks, my friend. And even if you don't have some mountains right there, you have something we will never have here .... many, many different airlines and many, many different liveries. Also, you are the master of the nighttime exposure photo. In fact, I am arranging a night visit for myself at the Reno Air Races in a few weeks so that I can practice snapping a few night shots similar to yours. If I am lucky, I'll get one or two good ones.
