Airbus A320 (N561JB)
JBU's "La Vie en Blue" (N561JB, an A320) climbs into a clear blue mid-afternoon sky as it takes off from RTIA's runway 16R headed to Long Beach to launch jetBlue's new RNO-LGB service.

Passengers on this flight paid $18.00 to fly to long Beach; the round trip fare was only $39. including tax. And they also had a fantastic time while they waited after checking in: the party started about two hours prior to the arrival of N561JB and included free drinks, free food, and free gifts. That party moved right out on to the ramp; as "La Vie en Blue" taxied in, it was met by a marching band, cheerleaders, the press ... and lots more food, drinks, and gifts for the arriving passengers. The fun went on for about three hours, but I left about 30 minutes before the end so I could position to capture this departure.
