Boeing 737-800 (N917NN) - Making only its second visit to Reno since being unveiled over ten months ago, Americans N917NN, dressed in colorful AirCal heritage clothes, glides over the Meadowood neighborhood as it covers the final 1000 feet of its approach to RTIAs runway 34L. br /The single previous visit by this heritage-schemed fleetbird was seven months ago, in February, and on that occasion it arrived at night (around 8:30 PM) and departed again before dawn, so very few people had an opportunity to see it. Yesterdays arrival came under cloudy skies but at least it was at midmorning so the light conditions were sufficient for this click, and by the time it departed a few minutes after high noon the sun had come out and the lighting was fine.

Another personal goal of mine was fulfilled when this one arrived. I've now got snaps of all of AA's special-livery fleetbirds. I did have a previous capture of this one but it had been taken at night from a long distance away and it had turned out horribly bad, so yesterday's clicks made it official for me ... NOW I've got them all. And all except one are airborne shots (one of the "One World" photos was taken at ORD and that aircraft was taxiing so it was not in the air).
