Douglas DC-6 (N616SE) - This classic airliner was built in 1953 for the first scheduled air cargo airline in the US, âFlying Tigerâ. Having spent many years flying for different owners such as German Air, Span East, and finally Trans Continental, this tired bird would sit engineless keeping a vigil over the Willow Run Airport for another 5 years until being scrapped in 2006 by Nighthawk Air Systems, Inc.
