Cliff. Postcard says photo courtesy of Mohawk airlines , no date, postcard from a aviation world inc of bethel ct.
Cliff the article states N406D sn 2214 is in the photo. Same photo as mine but n409D which was sn 3277
Sam... You're welcome and I'm glad you caught that one! Someone was reading the "N" number wrong!!
Looks as if this and sister aircraft had Wright R-1820 engines instead of the usual P&W R-1830 power plants.
and the entry door is on the lefts side. Registry says its a G202A. May have started out as a C-49J
