Good to see a real airplane on here. A re-paint would bot go amiss.

Always nice to hear them doing mag checks on 4 double row Wasps, 4 mags, 36 plugs and 4 engines, takes a while and they accept more “barking & spitting” than your instructor would let you get away with on a C-150/152.
Ross Rice
Ops, my mistake. Its 14 cyls abd 28 plugs!

A no frills hard worker. It gets the job done. I have a snippet of a memory of flying on a large turboprop. They were the work horses of the sky in the day. A time when you really had to want to be there at he end of a long noisy flight. Travel was less hectic, and people wore their best (better) clothes. The romance of aviation is gone. It's devolved into a cattle car experience, like most of society has...

I like to see photos of working birds! Yeah, she's a bit grimy but that's because she's busy! Thanks for the nice shot.

This is a B model (passenger) with a cargo door that was cut into the side.
