What is the significance please of the yellow & black bands on fuselage and wings?

This aircraft’s colour scheme is a bit of a mish-mash. The airframe is an ex-Swiss Air Force T55 (Reg U-1226) training aircraft and it still has the (unusual) drop tanks fitted. However it now has British military roundels so is masquerading as either a two-seat RAF T-11 or Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm (FAA) T-22, but neither ever had drop tanks. Furthermore, it is in camouflage scheme which, again, the UK training aircraft never had – only their fighter bomber (FB) versions.
What is right is that an RAF T11 or FAA T22 had yellow stripes on the wings and tail booms to show it was a training aircraft (and to be avoided!); if the aircraft was from the RAF College at Cranwell (where I flew it) it also had a broad light blue stripe instead. But they didn’t ever have black stripes. Perhaps these have now been added to enhance the visibility when this aircraft is displayed?
Finally, the registration given on this aircraft, found from other photos, is WR-016. The WR series of UK military registrations was allocated to Vampire FB9 aircraft, and none to the T11 or T 22 ones. As a final bit of evidence that much licence has been taken with the colour scheme, there is a badge of the Royal Canadian Air Force No 440 Squadron in front of the cockpit. This badge has a red vampire motif in the centre, but the unit was never equipped with any version of the Vampire. Confused?

Agree with David Crwys-Williams. 440 squadron was never equipped with Vampire a/c, as shown by the roster of types given in the Wikipedia article for the squadron. It is presently 440 "City of Ottawa"Transport Squadron operating out of Yellowknife.

Saw one of these in either El Salvador or Hondorus in ‘73.at a tar and chip type runway. Ithad some sort of rockets on it, best I remember, and was a kind of grayish green with no markings whatsoever. Looked mean, though..
