Boeing paints Lufthansa’s first 747-8 Intercontinental (photos)
Boeing painted the first 747-8 Intercontinental for Lufthansa over the weekend, the plane maker and airline announced Monday. A private customer is due to get the first 747-8 Intercontinental, Boeing’s largest-ever passenger airliner, later this year. Lufthansa is the first airline set to get the plane, with first delivery scheduled for early next year. Luxembourg’s Cargolux is scheduled to get the first 747-8 Freighter on Sept. 19. Best wishes to Lufthansa but couldn't they have "splashed up" the first aircraft a little? You spend a couple of hundred millions bucks you out to get a little bit more of a bang out of a first edition.
I wonder why they stayed with gray on the bottom rather than the beige/brown they got on their A380 like the one that shows up on here every now and then.
umm. they didn't put beige/brown as far as i know. i think the picture looks like that because of the way the sun is reflecting on it.
Beautiful Airplane.....as for the paint....first thought that came to mind was, "Meh."
WOW...real original. Just kidding. I agree that they should've explored some new flashy designs to show it off. Oh well.
What is the big deal here, same old fashioned livery. not worth reporting
