IATA against Russian parts ban
IATA (International Air Transport Association) has voiced their opinion on the parts ban against Russian airlines, it said that this could compromise safety. Airbus, Boeing and Embraer have all suspended their maintenance and parts support for Russian carriers... (www.aviationweekly.org) Altro...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
memo to IATA:opinion noted. Memo to BOeing/Airbus and all others with replacement parts: shut down every replacement part source that russia has from western manufacturers and suppliers. IATA has instantly become silly, insular and irrelevant.
Russia compromised air safety, not Boeing or Airbus.
You're worried about safety when we need to stop tens of thousands from dying? Every little bit helps as we need to choke Putin to death.
why is not this wisdom evident world wide? Airline safety is a world wide cooperative endeavor, and if a few russian planes have mechanical difficulties or worse, then Russia would have to shut down their domestic networks. Is that so bad???
Cluster bombs would seem to compromise safety as well.
ISTA again on the (morally) wrong side of an issue. Me thinks they need a healthy dose of reality and public/social media shaming.
