I've flown several times on Hawaiian while I was living in Hawaii. Let me tell you...their level of service makes every other airline I've ever flown on look sick. The flight attendants (am I the only one that still wants to call them stewardesses?) definitely give service with the aloha spirit. If you've not been to Hawaii you'll not understand that. The deserve to make that money. They treat their passengers correctly.

As an example of their separation from other airlines, anyone check out their in-flight safety briefing video? Creative, entertaining and informative - Since one has to watch anyway.. The background scenery of "a few of our favorite places" on the islands doesn't hurt. Why not enjoy some scenery as well as nice people doing local activities. Creative.

And while we are talking earnings, looking forward the addition of their new first class lay flat beds on select long haul routes, mostly from Asia, but also from NYNY, and San Fran doesn't dampen enthusiasm for their future!

We have flown HAL for over 7 years and their service has really decreased. They now charge for a blanket in coach. The comfort seating has gone up 3 times in the last 3 years from $60.00 to $75.00 one way. There are no dietary changes in first class for meals, such as Gluten free, nut free etc. Going back to Hawaii next year, but this time Delta. Pricing for first class and coach have risen over 30% over the last 2 years. Cost of fuel down.

They won't get any money from me. The last time I flew HAL to HNL the service was pure shit. Plus, airfares to Hawaii are seriously inflated. I now go to a beautiful beach in Florida for less than half of what it costs to go to HAwaii. Besides, most of the locals on Oahu are low-life's.
