That headline is intentionally misleading -- the "passenger" was an off-duty 747 pilot. It's also a duplicate squawk.

Not so much of a headline news since the passenger was a pilot himself. If he wasn't, then I'd be jealous...

This flight is between 7:15 and 8:30 long depending on wind intensity, now knowing LH strict adherence to regulations and then some, this crew must have had at least one extra pilot, I think.

Isn't this every pilot's dream? The flight attendant announces "is anyone here a pilot?" You raise your hand and head forward to save the day :-)

Totally of the subject but involving Lufthansa: Does anybody know if they still have a flight training school at Tucson International. They used to years ago but did not know if they still did.. They in particular were training 737 and 747 pilots there due to 360+ flying days out of the year.
