They at one time maintained a yacht to wine and dine customers is that still around? A fellow I knew was a guide for them and had a float plane he owned to fly them to hunting and fishing areas. This was back in the 60s?
In the 60s they weren’t billions in debt.
Kind of strange when their primary customer seems to be the American People, whose government unquestioningly shovels tens of billions into their coffers on a regular basis.
Is it honestly that difficult to fly commercial? There is an airport for that close by.
Honestly, there is a lot of perks to flying private, ignoring the quality inside the plane.
Your meeting goes longer, the plane is still waiting for you. (Seen flights leave hours if not 1+ day later because of a last-second change in plans.)
Need to go somewhere on short notice, guaranteed seat
Show up to the airport, jump on the plane, plane lands, a car is waiting at the door
Forget something, the plane will turn around (I have seen flights turn back because someone forgot something at home)
Airport can frequently be a lot closer to downtown, or something smaller in a remote area, and every flight is direct non-stop (Toronto vs Toronto Island Airport)
We can argue how much someone is worth, and how much they do, and I can see those arguments. But flying private saves hours. For someone in that position, time is money. Or that is the ability to be home for dinner with your family. There are plenty of arguments against private flights. Difficulty is not one of them

Equals a jet travel cost of $ 789000 per year for each of the 19 executives.
