Calling all Orlandos! It’s your time to travel!
Frontier Airlines has partnered with the Visit Orlando tourism board to offer anyone with either the first or last name “Orlando” a free flight to Orlando, Florida (MCO) any time between October 13th and 20th. Technically speaking, qualifying travelers will receive a travel voucher worth $250, which can then be used to purchase the ticket to Orlando with Frontier Airline.
Unless you intentionally choose a convoluted route, there’s an almost guaranteed chance that your ticket will be well below the $250 voucher limit, especially in COVID times when airlines generally have been offering much cheaper fares. Unfortunately this offer is not automatic and interested “Orlandos” will have until the end of October 5, 2020 to apply for their voucher.
Besides that, the airline and tourism board are also running a general contest (regardless of what your name is) with the grand prize consisting of:
- 4 round-trip tickets (for you and 3 guests) to Orlando, Florida
- 4 nights free accommodation at Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive
- Free rental car from Enterprise
- Vouchers to Andretti Indoor Karting & Games, Icon Park and TopGolf Orlando
Interested parties have until the end of October 5, 2020 to enter the contest via this form.
Like many other agencies, the Visit Orlando tourism board is trying to find new ways to bring back customers to the respective tourist attractions after the fallout from the pandemic. In June, the agency announced enhanced safety measures being implemented with the re-opening of its theme parks and other attractions.
“Our theme parks, attractions, restaurants, hotels and shopping centers have worked tirelessly for months to create comprehensive reopening plans, with even more safety measures, to welcome visitors back to Orlando,” said George Aguel, President & CEO of Visit Orlando. “Consumers know and historically trust how Orlando takes safety seriously, and many of our attractions and parks do this in a manner that is not only thorough, but also fun, such as social distancing reminders from Stormtroopers at Disney Springs, or a giant Skunk Ape character who roams around Gatorland.”
