Where and when Viv?

Hi Colin. I believe it was 1976, Johannesburg Airport.
WOW! This is seriously cool! I wish I was there! It could have been a charter flight because the regular commercial flights (as far as I know) for the Concorde were only between Paris/London - New York's JFK. However, there was at least one Concorde flight to Los Angeles (LAX).

Hi Viv, a great variety of aircraft visible, including the DC3s. The two SAA Boeings are 737-200 series. Johannesburg would probably have been the highest airport that Concorde ever operated from. Air France operated a scheduled service from Paris CDG down to Rio, via a refuelling stop in Dakar, but it was a money loser and did not last...regards to Port Elizabeth!
