I've seen this done at airshows in the past... and a nice vantage point it is.
However, one of these days one of 'em is gonna fall off the top of those big Air Force airplanes!!!

True, it would not be funny at all, Roy... likely to result in death or disabling injuries to someone in the prime of their life.
We used to sit on top of the c-130s at airshows . If your not near the edge your fine. Buddy fell off the back of the wing doing maintenance and landed on the 105 barrel...medically discharged from that.
with this plane you can tell that mcd and boeing merged; it's a boeing plane with dc10/md11 similarly shaped windows
EP1... you betcha... those cockpit windows do look exactly like what you said. I believe the design and early manufacture was entirely McDonnell Douglas before their merger with Boeing.
