This is a 182, not a 172. It has cowl flaps (182). It has a tail with a smoothly transitioned sweep (no notch like a 172). Because it appears to sit slightly tail low, despite what looks like oversized tires on the main gear, my guess is that it's a 1961 model. Cessna shortened the landing gear of the 182 over the years. The 1956 182s (which this is obviously not, because the 1956 models had a straight tail) were much taller than later models. The 1960 models were much shorter than the 1956 ones, but the 1961 ones were a little bit shorter than even the 1960s.
