It may not be the "Memphis Belle", but it is still a sweet plane, and a great photo!

Both of you guys are correct.
This is the plane known as the "Sally B" and is based in the UK at the Imperial War Museum Duxford. She also has the nose art of the "Memphis Belle" on the right side of the nose.

Back in the mid 70s my neighbor in Arlington VA (Wing Commander Weaver) was the British Embassy Air Attache. The US traded a B-17 to the Brits for one of their aircraft. He flew on the 17 to GB. I wonder if this is the aircraft?

Russ Brown... to answer your question, no... "Sally B" was purchased in France by the late Ted White and flown to Great Britain.
David Robson
Nice to see the Sally B is still flying. I first saw it at UK airshows in the late 80s. The last time was a chance flyby a few years ago when it passed right over my house while I was in the garden - a very pleasant surprise!
