Airbus A320 (N705JB)

The two short flights (on 12 Mar) from LAX to RNO and back are the only flights N705JB has made in the past six days. It arrived at LAX from Orlando at 22:50 on 9 March and, except for those two brief one-hour here-and-back trips it made three days ago on 12 March when I snapped this pic, it has not gone anywhere.

Sad about the lack of flights. Even JetBlue knows those airplanes make no money sitting on the ground.

Steven & Jeff ... TY for your kind comments. And my apologies re: the reference to The Snake. I've posted some from this vantage spot previously and with those I've identified Rattlesnake Mtn better and I guess I just got "tunnel brain" thinking that anyone viewing these newest shots already knew where I was referring to when I said The Snake. It was careless of me, and I'm sorry for any confusion.

Also, I've got more shots of various inbounds passing this same location and if you want any of those or an unmarked of this one to show your son just e/m to OldeCarl@gmail.com And as for JBU, I snapped one yesterday as it was taking off from 16L. It is a closeup and I was aghast as it went by -- the entire fuselage had so much missing paint that I was quite stunned that JBU would even fly it. I mean, I'm aware that flying a paxbird with primer green exposed all over it doesn't mean the aircraft is unsafe to fly, but the public's perception of a passenger a/craft in that woeful looking condition is not conducive to great PR. I've been debating whether to post a pic of it or not. But I suppose if JBU was willing to fly it, then I guess it didn't concern them very much how it looked. But still .... ?????
