Bubble for the pilot to look down out of the wind. Cool idea.

I'm speechless when I think of the way these ordinary people - according to them - do heroic stuff every day. During the NorCal fires (SCU Lightning, etc) of Sep 2020 a fire chopper made an forced landing in a field not far from my house and they were stuck there for a few hours so I went over and took water, soft drinks and beer - somebody else brought food - to them and we listened to their amazing descriptions of what they were doing. Simply awesome.

Thanks for all the comments, everyone! These guys put their lives on the line every time they go up and fight fires, and this is my way of shedding light on them and thanking them for what they do.

The bubbles really are a great implement in the firefighting role. Seen them on all the Blackhawks, Chinooks, and even some of the Hueys that have been in and out. Smart adaptation.
