They have just been rehabilitated after being on a black list for bad maintenance and big losses. They are allowed to fly longhaul to the US and to UK and Europe again now. Actually I prefer to fly them for domestic flights (NOT for international flights) because they are customer focussed where Cebu Pacific is an arrogant system thinking organization. Phil is connected to Etihad so you can collect miles for yr Etihad frequent flyer membership. On the longhaul flights PhilAir operataes a low cost carrier policy with limited services, short leg space (too short) and no inflight entertainment. (at least not to Dubai) I will never book Dubai-Manila with Phil or Cebu Pacific ever again. 9 hrs stored in too little space....
