doug, you may be justified in judging harshly photos that are in essence dupicates...we see some of that ocassionallly. Yet, personally, so long as the photos are not very similar ie. same place, same angle, i enjoy seeing the same planes in different situations and locations...each photo has its own merits and stands on its own...

Chris - Trying to figure out your spotting location. Must have been somewhere on the south side of the airport. There is no other way to get this angle on a plane landing with the Southwest gates in the background.

David, this was taken a Salt River Shore! It's a bike/walking path that follows the Salt River south of the airport. It's where you can also get the shots of eastbound departures passing in front of the tower.

Chris - Thanks for the update. Had to have been somewhere down there as this angle cannot be achieved from any of the terminals or garages. In any case, it is a beautiful shot. Thanks for sharing it!
