The P-40 had the perfect profile for the shark nose. I can imagine those Japanese pilots freaking when they looked in their rearview mirror and saw JAWs coming.

just for the record, the A6M Zero was faster and could out turn all other aircraft of that period.

Shot with a Nikon D600, 28-300, from the back of a T-6. Superior flying from all involved.

It can't out run them.
