When did the designation change from AT-6 to just T-6? I have thought of them as AT for a long time and must have missed the change. Great photo of an outstanding aircraft. Thank you.

USAAC and USAAF called it the AT-6, the US Navy called it the SNJ until 1962 and the USAF called it the T-6 from 1948. To anyone outside the US it's a Harvard.
