Talk about confusing from a spotters perspective...
Guess just gotta use the FAA database to verify the type/subtype based on the registration

the DC-3 was set up as a flying museum and was full of memorabilia from the past...see my other photo...

Tomer, the new series is the G36 Bonanza
they will set you back around 800,000 dollars compared to 30-80k for a V35

Written on 09/25/2015 by sam kuminecz

according to www.do-24.com

Production began in 1979 and was completed in 1983, the Do ATT was fitted with an advanced technology wing cut from a single piece of aluminum spar to simplify production efforts with improved PT6A-45Bs. It took to the skies on April 25, 1983 and was later retired to the Deutsches Museum in Germany.

Iren Dornier, grandson of Claude Dornier, then removed the aircraft from the museum and brought it to the Philippines in 2003. It was retrofitted and restored in good working condition. It also underwent a series of rigorous test flights both on land and water and has received its airworthiness from the Philippine Aviation Authority (ATO).

Do you know who the original owner of the registration is? EI is Spain but it's Mexican airline. Just curious

Written on 09/26/2015 by sam kuminecz

Try E3TF for IACO code for the E-3 with the TF-33 engines

Wow! Nice shot! That is an amazing photo! Yes that is very close to the ground! And United 757s are also kind of rare at RDU! But heads up, more 757s will becoming soon! Be sure to catch them! I rated this photo 5 stars!

At least the lav service is better with the 7s and 9s...whoever designed the 200s is an idiot...put APU exhaust right next to lav service hatch...talk about smelling terrible!

This Hurricane(YO-A) as well as an Avenger, Spitfire, Stinson 108 and and Auster were destroyed in a hangar fire at Hamilton in 1993, the Lancaster was barely pulled out in time (supposedly fuel was boiling in the tanks)

Written on 09/28/2015 by sam kuminecz

Nice shot of this rare smokey bird

Written on 09/28/2015 by sam kuminecz

Mark, being a multi-million dollar company wheels up could have paid someone off...hope not...but it just irks me that someone who doesn't take photos or a part of any discussions gets such high publicity...
Many people including myself stand in the snow and rain for hours hopin to get that perfect shot...and at the end of the day we get beaten out by someone copying and pasting 47x...and no proper credits to the original photographer or a link to the website either...
Ok I'll shut up now...

I was at KBUF for the dedication of this aircraft... first jetblue 190 in service and only one without a blue in its name

Great shot, But i have always felt the heritage aircraft should be done in original colors .. WITHOUT the current owners "name tag" .. that would be TRUE heritage ... PACIFIC SOUTHWEST AIRLINES (PSA) .. Once dominated SJC .. My last flight on it was PS # 362 May, 14, 1982, SJC - LAX when I met and received autograph of; Actor Ray Bolger (Scarecrow - Wizard of Oz)

Written on 12/17/2015 by Clement Roberts_ksjc408@aol.com

no its not, I pointed out its not my photo, so I gave credit to the the original company which is from West Germany who no longer exists.

Written on 11/03/2017 by sam kuminecz

Great shot Dwight

Written on 10/02/2015 by sam kuminecz

colors represent Tiger Meet, every year NATO countries meet up for exercises and each aircraft has a tiger somewhere, sometimes just a sticker or a logo on a fuel tank, other times its the whole aircraft painted. google it sometime, always awesome paint
