Air Care Alliance ("Compassion") Flights

The Air Care Alliance is a nationwide league of humanitarian flying organizations whose volunteer pilots are dedicated to community service such as flying for health care, patient transport, disaster relief, environmental support, and other missions of public service. Hero Flights

The Veterans Airlift Command provides free air transportation to post 9/11 combat wounded and their families for medical and other compassionate purposes through a national network of volunteer aircraft owners and pilots. For more information, visit their website.

Angel Flights

Angel Flight America is a non-profit organization that arranges free flights of hope and healing by transporting patients and their families in private planes to hospitals for medical treatment. For more information, visit Angel Flight's web site.

MEDEVAC ("Lifeguard") Flights

MEDEVAC flights are for missions of an urgent medical nature and the call sign is utilized when a flight requires expeditious handling. Air Traffic Control will expedite the handling of aircraft using a lifeguard prefix to their flight identifier.
