Empire Flight Academy was established in 2009 with their office located at Republic Airport (KFRG), Farmingdale, New York. Empire Flight Academy (EFA) operates an entire fleet of state of the art, glass cockpit aircraft including; 2 Cirrus SR20's, 1 Cirrus SR22, 2 Diamond DA20 "Eclipses", 2 Diamond DA40 "Diamond Stars", EFA is also the first training facility to obtain FRASCA first FR22 FTD (Flight Training Device). This simulator includes tru-vision technology; a 140 degree visual display system featuring, airport environment, realistic day/night and restricted visibility scenes, environmental effects (clouds, irregular cloud bottoms, cloud scuds, etc.), satellite technology for added realism, and an instructor's control center.
